Mette Bystrup is an illustrator and author based in Copenhagen. She graduated with a BA from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, School of Design in 2014 and finished her MA in Visual Communication at Konstfack in Stockholm in 2018.

Her first book “Du er her ikke” was published at Jensen&Dalgaard in 2019.

In her visual stories she focuses on the field where the personal and the political meet – exploring power structures on a micro- and macro level.

Mette Bystrup er illustrator bosat i København. Hun er uddannet fra Kunstakademiets Designskole (BA i Visuel Kommunikation) i 2014 og Konstfack i Stockholm (MA i Visuell Kommunikation) i 2018. 

Hendes første bog “Du er her ikke” blev udgivet på Jensen&Dalgaard i 2019.

Hun arbejder i krydsfeltet mellem det personlige og det politiske og undersøger magtstrukturer på et mikro- og makroplan i sine billedfortællinger.
