MA in Graphic Design, Call for Applications

Date: 02.29.2020
Time: Midnight

Country: Estonia

Address:

Põhja pst 7, 10412 Tallinn Estonia

The Graphic Design Department at the Estonian Academy of Arts (EKA) wishes you a happy new year! To celebrate the start of a new decade we’re excited to announce the launch of our new Master of Arts (MA) in Graphic Design program, opening for the first time in September 2020.

The two year, English language program takes an expanded view of graphic design, seeing it as a form of knowledge production whose role can be understood as ‘making things public.’ This is supported by providing opportunities to work not only in traditional models of graphic design—books, websites, posters, typefaces, videos—but also to publish texts, organize exhibitions, host lectures, teach workshops, and create new contexts for exchange. During two years of study, the program intends to develop a student’s individual practice, and define their position as a graphic designer through a diverse range of projects.

Applications for the 2020–2021 academic year will be open from 1–29 February 2020, with a total of 8–10 students being admitted. You can find out more information about the curriculum and application process on the new MA in Graphic Design program website.
